Votes to introduce candidates to Politburo, Secretariat cast

Party Central Committee on Jan. 6 voted to introduce additional candidates to Politburo and Secretariat.
The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) on January 6voted to introduce additional candidates to the Politburo andSecretariat for the 2016-2021 term at its ongoing 10th meeting.

The committee then focused discussions on a draft report summarisingseveral theoretical and practical issues during the 30-year renewalprocess and another on the enforcement of the Party Statute approved atthe 11th National Party Congress.

ThePolitburo’s draft political report, which will be submitted to theupcoming 12th National Party Congress, was also on agenda during thesecond day of sitting.

The CPVCC’s 10th meeting will last until January 12.-VNA
