VNA strengthens ties with Mexico Labour Party

At an invitation of the Labour Party of Mexico (PT), Deputy General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Dinh Dang Quang made a working visit to Mexico from September 9-14 to further strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation.

Meeting with PTGeneral Secretary Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, Quang briefed him onVietnam’s current situation, VNA’s main activities in the recent pastand the implementation of a memorandum of understanding on cooperationbetween the two sides which focuses on the publication of several booksand the Vietnam Pictorial in Spanish as well as the organisation oftraining courses for VNA staff.

The PT GeneralSecretary spoke highly of the recent cooperation between his Party andVietnam’s national news agency, and agreed to continue intensifying thatfine relationship in the time to come, including the consideration ofpossibility of publishing some books to serve Vietnam’s diplomaticactivities in Latin America.

The party is ready to provide scholarships for those assigned by the VNA to study in Mexico, Gutierrez said.

During his stay, the VNA official paid a courtesy visit to newGeneral Director of the Mexican News Agency, Notimex, Alejandro RamosEsquivel, during which both sides highly valued their cooperation overthe past time and agreed to soon renew a cooperation agreement.

He also attended the debut ceremony of the Mexican-Vietnamese Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group.-VNA
