Hanoi (VNA) – Forty black & white, and colour photos depicting theVietnam Embassy headquarters in France captured by Vietnam News Agencyreporters have been sent to an exhibition marking 40-year existence of thehistorical building.
Thephotos feature those taken on April 29 in 1977 when the late Prime MinisterPham Van Dong inaugurated the embassy building on 62 Boileau Street, 16th district, in Paris.
Ata ceremony on March 30, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son praisedthe VNA for promptly providing the photos in service of the embassy’sexhibition.
Thediplomat emphasized the historical meaning of building, calling it a symbol ofnational unity and reconciliation.
Theembassy headquarters moved to a new location on 61 Miromesnil, 8th district in May 2014. However, conference and reception rooms of the oldbuilding on Boileau Street are still used for important diplomatic activities.
Theexhibition, which is scheduled to open on April 28, will also display photosprovided by Vietnamese expatriates in the county.-VNA
