VN, Turkey boost trade cooperation

A Vietnam-Turkey workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Nov. 30 to promote economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.

Jointly organised by the Investment andTrade Promotion Centre (ITPC) of Ho Chi Minh City and the ManisaTrade and Industry Chamber of Turkey, the workshop attracted theparticipation of 50 firms from Turkey .

Speakingat the workshop, head of the Turkish delegation Bulent Kosmaz said theevent provided a venue for the two countries’ enterprises to seek newpartners, adding that their presence at the workshop aims to strengthentrade cooperation and investment between the two countries.

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Turkey is expected to reach 1 billion USD this year.

The country is also considered as a gateway for Vietnamese goods suchas rice, rubber, green tea, garment products and footwear, electronicequipment and handicraft products to enter Middle East and Europeanmarkets./.
