VN, Russia boost medical cooperation

A delegation from the Coordinating Committee for the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre (CCVRTC) paid a working visit to Russia ’s ancient capital of Saint Petersburg following the committee’s 23 rd meeting from Nov. 27-30.

In Saint Petersburg , thedelegation led by Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. GenNguyen Huy Hieu, President of CCVRTC’s Vietnam subcommittee, visitedthe Kirov Military Medical Academy and met with the academydirector, Major General Belevitin, to discuss cooperation plansbetween the two countries’ army medical academies, especially inpersonnel training and medical research.

Thedelegation also worked with the Children’s Hospital of InfectiousDiseases on measures to strengthen cooperation in tropical biomedicalresearch./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
