VN-Index drops by 2.87 percent on June 18

The VN-Index of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) decreased by 2,87 percent to close at 987.43 points on June 18, the first transaction day of the week, with 181.39 million shares worth 4.626 trillion VND (nearly 202.2 million USD) being traded.

Hanoi (VNA) – The VN-Index of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) decreased by 2,87 percent to close at 987.43 points on June 18, the first transaction day of the week,  with181.39 million shares worth 4.626 trillion VND (nearly 202.2 million USD) beingtraded.

The southern bourse saw 217 codes declining, 74codes rising and 45 others unchanged.

In the VN30 group, only BHV, KDC and SBT codes witnessed price increases.

The sharpest fall in the day was seen among bankingshares, with VCB, TCB, MBB, HDB and ACB experiencing respective price drops of 2,500VND, 5,200 VND, 4,760 VND, 2,300 VND and 1,500 VND per share.

The GAS and PLX codes also declined 5,900 VND to 90,000 VND and 2,800 VND to64,500 VND per share, respectively.

The HNX-Index on the Hanoi Stock Exchange dropped 2.84 points tostand at 113.06 points, with 41.47 million shares changedhands at a value of 715 billion VND (over 31.4 million USD).

Meanwhile, on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange(HOSE), foreign investors sold 10.87 million shares for 488.83 billion VND(nearly 21.5 million USD).-VNA
