The Vietnam ExecutiveLeadership Program (VELP) was held from Feb. 13-17 as an annual exchangeprogramme organised by Harvard under the sponsorship of the UnitedNations Development Programme (UNDP).
This year’s programmefocused on the global economy, restructuring of global finance, planningfor macro-economic policies, and climate change – challenges andopportunities for Vietnam.
The Vietnamese officials exchanged views with leading US experts on these themes.
Duringthe programme, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Federal ReserveBank of Boston and met with Overseas Vietnamese, including students inBoston .
Talking to the students, Deputy PM Ninh said thatVietnam needs high-quality human resources, especially those who havestudied and worked abroad and affirmed that they will get worthypositions when they return the country.
While in the US , theVietnamese delegation visited Omni Parker House, where President Ho ChiMinh worked between 1911-1913./.
