The delegation is led by Major-General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
The four-day exhibition estimates that 25,000 visitors from 50countries and over 200 delegations from 35 countries such as the UK ,France , the US , Germany , China , India , Australia and Canadawill attend.
It has drawn 850 firms from acrossthe world, including many well-known companies and groups such asAirBoss, General Dynamics, Brahmos, Nammo, ADS, BAE Systems, DynamicSystem Technologies, Barrett Communications, Frontier, Comrod and SAAB.
Occupying a site of 40,000 sq.m.2 the exhibition has ondisplay the world's most advanced and sophisticated hardware andelectronic systems for land, air and maritime defence. Also on show arebattlefield healthcare products and technologies, training andsimulation systems and police and security accessories.
Theevent is seen as an opportunity for participating countries to inspectthe most advanced weapons in the world and gain experience in theapplication of high-technologies for national defence and security.
During the event, the Vietnamese delegation will take part thePutrajaya Forum on national defence and security for peace on April17.-VNA
