Director of Vinh Phuc Investment Promotion Agency Nguyen Tien Hanhsaid that promoting administration reforms would significantly helpedattracting investment flow into the province.

TheProvincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Vinh Phuc in 2013 increased 17levels and there was a positive move in investment attraction.

In the first two months of 2014, Vinh Phuc licensed 16 projectsincluding eight foreign-invested projects (FDI projects) and eightdomestic-invested projects (DDI projects) with total registered capitalof 102.4 million USD and 202.4billion USD, respectively.

Toimprove PCI ranking and realise the target of attracting 30 FDI and DDIprojects in 2014, Vinh Phuc has been mobilising all its resources forinfrastructure investment to create favourable conditions for businessesto invest in their industrial zones. Further more, the local authorityhas provided vocational training for their people and helped tacklebusinesses’ difficulties while operating in the province.

Withspecific investment support policies and efforts of local agencies,Vinh Phuc expects that 2014 will witness a spectacular improvement inprovincial PCI ranking.-VNA
