Hanoi (VNA) – The northern province of Vinh Phuc has presented an investment certificate to TOTO Vietnam during Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide’s visit to Vietnam.

Accordingly, TOTO Vietnam will invest 100 million USD to build one of its largest plants at Vinh Phuc-based Thang Long Industrial Park.

Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee Le Duy Thanh handed over the certificate to General Director of TOTO Vietnam Suzuki Hiroyuki during a ceremony held on October 19, in the presence of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Japanese counterpart Suga.

Welcoming TOTO Vietnam’s investment in the province, Thanh noted that Vinh Phuc is among four localities offering the best infrastructure and conditions for industrial development in the country, as it is always in the list of leading provinces and cities in the field.

He pledged that the province will create optimal conditions for investors, including those from Japan.

TOTO Vietnam is a subsidiary of Japan’s TOTO, dubbed the world’s largest toilet manufacturer. The company first invested in Hanoi and Hung Yen in 2002, and Vinh Phuc is now its third destination in Vietnam.

Vinh Phuc has lured over 3 billion USD in the 2015-20 period, and is now housing more than 400 FDI projects./.
