Vietsovpetro symbolizes VN-Russia friendship: NA leader

“Vietsovpetro has become a leading enterprise laying the foundationfor the development of Vietnam ’s petroleum industry and it currently is a keyforce of this industry,” the NA Chairman commented during his visit to the JV inthe southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on April 24.

Heattributed immense achievements the Vietnamese Party and people have recorded inthe renovation and development course to sizeable and effective assistanceoffered by the Russian people among other friends.

“Russian oil expertsare not only friends but also teachers to Vietnamese staff working in the oiland gas industry,” Trong emphasized.

The NA Chairman said he hoped theexperience accumulated during the time working under Russian experts’ guidancewill enable Vietsovpetro’s staff to well master cutting-edge technologiesapplied in the field.

He said he expected Vietsovpetro will expand itsinternational partnership to further raise the effectiveness of its operationfor the sake of the national industrialization andmodernization.

Briefing the NA Chairman on his company’s operation overthe past 30 years, Vietsovpetro Director General Nguyen Huu Tuyen said hiscompany will work harder to soon put newly-found oilfields into production andspeed up exploration and exploitation on the country’s continentalshelf.

Besides, the JV will expand its exploration and exploitationoverseas to bring more profits to the nation and improve life of its staff aswell, Tuyen said.

During the visit, NA Chairman Trong and his entouragevisited the oil and gas port, and the staff of technology platform No. 2 of theOil and Gas Exploration Enterprise, which provides services for the offshoreBach Ho (White Tiger) oilfield./.
