Vietnam’s startup ecosystem introduced in RoK

Vietnam Startup Roadshow in Korea 2019 took place in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on November 8, with the aim of improving the awareness of Korean investors and venture capital funds about the quality of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem.

- Vietnam StartupRoadshow in Korea 2019 took place in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), onNovember 8, with the aim of improving the awareness of Korean investors andventure capital funds about the quality of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem.

Theevent, which saw the participation of more than 200 venture capital funds andstarts up from the RoK, was jointly held the Vietnamese Ministry of Science andTechnology (MoST), Vietnam Silicon Valley, organisers of Techfest Vietnam – thelargest annual event for Vietnam’s startup community, and Seoul VentureIncubator.

OnNovember 6, Vietnam Startup Roadshow in Korea 2019 also came to the RoK’ssouthern port city of Busan.

Theevent has helped Vietnamese businesses, startup support centres, competentagencies and policy makers learn more about cutting-edge startup ecosystems inthe world.

PhamHong Quat, head of the MoST’s Investment Department, told the Vietnam NewsAgency (VNA) that after the RoK, Techfest Vietnam will be held in Singaporenext month, adding the RoK and Singapore are the first stops of Techfest Vietnamin Asia.

Itis set to introduce Vietnam’s innovative startup ecosystem and capacity ofVietnamese startups that have won domestic awards to international investors,he said./.
