Vietnam’s Army Day marked in Germany

The Vietnam War Veterans Association in Berlin and Brandenburg, Germany, has held a ceremony to mark the 66 th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (Dec. 22).

Addressing the function, Colonel Pham Duy Phe, Vietnamese DefenceAttache to Germany , highlighted the history of the Vietnam People’sArmy over the past 66 years and affirmed that in the new situation, thearmy would continue to develop and fulfill the tasks assigned by theParty and people and protect the national territorial integrity.

Onthis occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy decided to present a certificateof merit to the executive board of the Association of Vietnamese WarVeterans in Berlin and Brandenburg for their contributions tocommunity-based activities over the past time, especially in 2010.

Theassociation has raised funds to help soldiers in Truong Sa (Spratly)archipelago and flood victims in central region of Vietnam./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
