Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary on September25 held a reception to celebrate 75th anniversary of the NationalDay (September 2).
The event was attended by representatives from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,foreign embassies in Hungary, the Hungary-VietnamFriendship Association, and Hungarian friends, and Vietnamese people in thehost nation.
Reviewing the nation’s history and achievements in socio-economy and foreignaffairs in the past 75 years, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Tien Thuc saidVietnam has won the international community’s trust and support.
He went on by highlighting the Vietnam-Hungarycomprehensive partnership, and affirmed although the COVID-19 pandemic hasaffected activities to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomaticrelations between the two countries, both sides have enjoyed sound ties in thepast seven decades.
Vietnam always treasures the Hungarian government and people’s support for thenation during its struggle for independence as well as national constructionand development, he said, adding both sides will enhance cooperative relationsin all sectors, as well as work to elevate the ties to a new heightthrough working visits of high-level leaders, ministries, sectors andlocalities.
Meanwhile, Gyula Nagy,a representative from the Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association, said theHungarian government and people always support and have special attention tothe relations with Vietnam.
He spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in the national building andinternational integration in recent years, and expressed his delight over the tightbilateral relations in the past time./.
