Prague (VNA) - The Vietnamese Youth and Students Association in theCzech Republic held its congress for the 2024 - 2029 term on March 9.

At the congress, a new 22-strong executive board was set up,with Vu Dieu Ha elected President of the association in the new term.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam hailedthe association’s efforts to prove its position and value through pioneering andtaking the lead in organising meaningful activities for young people in thehost country as well as Europe.

The association was established in 1993 under the sponsor ofthe Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. It has played a core role inconnecting young Vietnamese people in not only the host country but also Europeat large./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
