Paris (VNA)
– A delegation fromthe northern province of Vinh Phuc visited France from December 11-13 topromote investment and seek cooperation opportunities with French localities.

The delegation, led by Secretary of theprovincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, worked with the Economic, Social,and Environmental Council (CESE) as well as leaders of the north-westernNormandy region and Ecole de Management de Normadie (the Normandy Management TrainingSchool) to introduce Vinh Phuc’s investment advantages and potential.

The Vinh Phuc representatives called forinvestment in the fields of mechanical manufacturing, electronic technology,telecommunications, new materials, farm produce processing, food, education,urban development, clean agriculture, and infrastructure.

The delegation asked France to supportprogrammes transferring Frend advanced technologies into Vietnam as well aspromoting cultural and social exchanges between Vinh Phuc and French provinces.

The two sides are also expected to shareexperiences and initiatives in reforming and orienting public policies,environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and waste treatment, aswell as cooperation in training high-quality human resources.

Eveline Duhamel, chairwoman of the CESEnational territorial sustainable planning board, highlighted the soundtraditional friendship between Vietnam and France over the past few years andpledged to further promote the bilateral relationship.

On behalf of leaders from the Normandy region,Serge Tougard expressed his hope of increasing exchanges between Vietnamese andFrench businesses.

He affirmed to work with the region’s economicdevelopment board to encourage key local businesses to cooperate withVietnamese firms in farm produce processing, aviation, pharmacy, and industrialproduct manufacturing from petroleum and nuclear energy.

Elian Pilvin, Director of Operations andBusiness Development at the Normandy Management Training School, said theschool aims to tighten cooperation with Vietnamese universities to transfer themost suitable training programmes and increase the quality of training.

He also showed his interest in thesocio-economic development situation in Vinh Phuc and hoped to visit theprovince soon to study its training models for future cooperation.–VNA
