During thetrip, PM Chinh and President Lula da Silva are scheduled to have talks, hold ajoint press conference, and witness the signing and handover of cooperation documentsbetween the two countries. The Vietnamese leader will also have meetings withleaders of the National Congress of Brazil, the parliamentary friendship groupof the South American country, some local political parties and friendshiporganisations, and the state of Sao Paulo.
He willalso visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil, meet with the Vietnamese communityhere, open a photo exhibition on late President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam, attenda business forum between the two countries, and receive executives of someleading Brazilian enterprises.
Later the same day, PMChinh visited the Embraer aerospacecompany in Sao Jose dos Campos city of Sao Paulo.
Embraer Presidentand CEO Francisco Gomes Neto gave the Vietnamese leader an introduction of hisfirm, which is the world’s third largest producer of commercial aircraft, afterBoeing and Airbus, and strong at manufacturing under-130-seat planes. In Vietnam,it has handed over five E190 aircraft to Bamboo Airways.
Netoexpressed his hope for the Vietnamese Government’s continued support for Embraerto seek cooperation opportunities and expand its market in the country, addingthat the group is ready to implement aircraft maintenance and repair servicesin and provide aerospace technological solutions for Vietnam.
Highlighting the fastdevelopment and potential of Vietnam’s aviation sector, PM Chinh held that thenew-generation aircraft models of Embraer could bea solution helping Vietnamese airlines concurrently expand their fleets andensure flight efficiency and safety.
The Governmentleader suggested the group discuss cooperation and business chances with Vietnameseairlines, consider providing aircraft maintenance and repair services, participatein the training of aviation manpower in Vietnam, provide technological solutionsfor the Southeast Asian country to improve the aviation governance capacity,increase automation, and help with the forecasting and prevention of aviation-relatedrisks.
