Hanoi (VNA) – Top Vietnamese leaders have sentcongratulatory messages to their Chinese counterparts on the 71th National Dayof China (October 1).

General Secretary of the Communist Party ofVietnam Central Committee and President of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen ThiKim Ngan respectively offered congratulations to General Secretary of theCommunist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping,Premier Li Keqiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NationalPeople’s Congress Li Zhanshu.

In their messages, the Party and State leadersof Vietnam congratulated China on its achievements over the last 71 years,voicing their belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping being the core, the Chinesepeople will continue obtaining great accomplishments during the cause of reform,opening and socialism building with Chinese characteristics.

They affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, Stateand people always attach importance to developing healthy and stable relationsbetween the two countries, and that Vietnam is ready to join hands with Chinato enhance equal and mutually-beneficial cooperation, properly settleoutstanding problems, promote the stable and sustainable development of theVietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, therebycontributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development in theregion and the world at large.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister andForeign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended greetings to Chinese StateCouncillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi./.
