Vietnamese, Indian coast guard forces promote ties

Vice Admiral Pham NgocMinh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, made the statement whilereceiving Inspector General KR Nautiyal, Deputy Director General of theIndian Coast Guard, in Hanoi on September 8.

Henoted with pleasure that together with the Vietnam-India strategicpartnership, the bilateral defence ties have seen comprehensive andeffective developments over the past time.

Startingwith posting the defence attaché in each country’s embassy, the twocountries then signed a memorandum of understanding on defencecooperation. They have now set up the Strategic Dialogue at the level ofvice-minister of defence.-VNA
