Hanoi, (VNA) – A flight arranged by Vietnamese and Singaporeanagencies and operated by Vietjet brought 240 Vietnamese citizensin Singapore back to Vietnam safely on November 25.
The passengersincluded the elderly, persons with underlyinghealth problems, and those in other special disadvantagedcircumstances.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore sent staff members to the airport to assist the citizens with boardingprocedures.
In-flight safety and preventive measuresagainst the COVID-19 pandemic were rigorously enforced to protect thepassengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease.
Upon arrival at the Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City, all passengers and crew members receivedmedical check-ups and were sent to quarantine in line with regulations.
The repatriation of Vietnamese citizens indisadvantaged circumstances abroad will continue to be conducted in line withtheir wishes, the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, and quarantinecapacity in Vietnam./.
