Beijing (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to ChinaDang Minh Khoi, on February 8, visited the Communist Party of China (CPC)Central Committee’s International Liaison Department, which is in charge ofpromoting, coordinating and carrying out the CPC’s cooperative activities withforeign parities.

As part of the visit to extend his Lunar New Year greetings,the diplomat had a discussion with Assistant Minister of the department Wang Yajun.

Taking about achievements in bilateral friendship exchangesvia the Party channel in 2017 and cooperation orientations for 2018, theyexpressed their delight at milestones in Vietnam – China relations last year.

In 2017, it was the first time Party chiefs and StatePresidents of the two nations had paid visits to the other side within a year,which helped them secure common conceptions for development of bilateral ties. Two-waytrade surpassed the set goal of 100 billion USD, while exchanges of touristarrivals between the two nations were close to 10 million.  

Regarding such outcomes, the sides discussed more creativemeasures to boost bilateral exchanges via the Party channel.

On the occasion, Ambassador Khoi thanked for assistance fromthe CPP Central Committee’s International Liaison Department toward the successof high-ranking visits in past time, asking the agency to further theireffective coordination of Vietnam – China joint activities in the future.-VNA
