Vietnamese, Chinese parties share social development expertise

The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) commenced the 11th theoretical workshop in the Chinese city of Shanghai on June 17, sharing their experience in social management and development.

In his speech, Politburo member andSecretary of the CPV Central Committee Dinh The Huynh said Vietnam’sreform process began some 30 years ago as the cause of the people, bythe people and for the people. Therefore, the CPV has continually paidheed to social issues, especially social welfares, in economicdevelopment.

Vietnam has reaped substantialachievements in ensuring welfares and developing and managing society,ultimately contributing to economic growth and political stability,noted Huynh, who is also the Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’sCommission for Communications and Education and the Chairman of the CPVCentral Committee’s Theoretical Council.

In China,the CPC also attaches special importance to social aspects apart fromeconomics and set up a strategic mission to build a harmonious socialistsociety, said Liu Qibao – Politburo member, Secretary of the CPCCentral Committee’s Secretariat, and Chairman of the CPC CentralCommittee’s Publicity Department.

Since the CPC’s 18th national congress in 2012, the Party Central Committee hasspecifically promoted welfares, social governance and settlement ofissues of public concern, he added.

The two sidessaid the theoretical workshop, held on June 17-18, will help them gaininsight into socialism building in their respective countries. It isalso a chance for them to exchange experience in social management anddevelopment for the sake of people’s happiness and wealth.

Earlier, they also had talks to share their views on relations betweenthe Parties and States and on cooperation between the VietnameseCommission for Communications and Education and the Chinese PublicityDepartment.-VNA
