The document was signed by VWU PresidentNguyen Thi Thu Ha and Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and CWPD President MenSam An after their talks in Phnom Penh.
At the talks, Men Sam An lauded theVietnamese union’s initiatives and programmes in developing the two countries’friendship.
She expressed her hope that the unions willcontinue strengthening cooperation in numerous fields, especially in sharingexperience.
For her part, Ha proposed the two sidesfocus cooperation on educating women and young generations about bilateralrelations, sharing information, and signing cooperation agreements betweenlocalities.
The VWU will help train female officials forthe Cambodian side, she affirmed.
While in Cambodia, the VWU delegation alsopresented gifts to poor households in Steung Treng, Kampong Thom and Prey Vengprovinces.
The VWU delegation’s activities in Cambodiaformed part of the “Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia goodwill coach trip” that began onSeptember 4 going through the three countries. The trip will end in Vietnam onSeptember 16 with a forum featuring the three countries’ women working tofoster friendship and cooperation to realise sustainable development goals by2030.-VNA
