Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam isimproving its business climate to attract foreign investors, including thosefrom Japan, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He made the remark when receiving SonouraKentaro, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, in Hanoi on December11.

He said Vietnam considers the success ofJapanese enterprises in the country as its own.

Highlighting the Vietnam – Japan strategicpartnership based on mutual trust, the PM lauded smooth cooperation between thetwo countries’ state agencies and sectors in implementing agreements sealed bytheir high-ranking leaders.

He expected to boost the ties to newheights for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific.

He also lauded Japan’s efforts in promotingthe Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) deal, which is now renamed as the Comprehensiveand Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

For his part, Sonoura Kentaro congratulatedVietnam on successfully hosting the APEC Year 2017 and conveyed Japanese PMShinzo Abe’s thank-you message for the warm welcome he received while inVietnam for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

Sonoura underscored 2017 as a historic yearin Vietnam – Japan ties, with a series of visits by both sides’ high-rankingleaders taking place.

Japan wants to stimulate friendship andcollaboration with Vietnam in all fields, he stated.-VNA
