Hanoi (VNA) – A seminar promotinginvestment to high-tech industry is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on January14 in a bid to draw foreign investment to the field in Vietnam.

The event will be hosted by the VietnamTrade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

It is designed to attract investment inline with economic growth orientations of Vietnamese localities, industrialparks and businesses, as well as help domestic enterprises access hightechnologies and join the global value chain.

Vietrade also plans various programmes tofacilitate businesses, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises inexports and brand development through e-commerce. Particularly, the agency willjoin hands with Amazon Global Selling on the company’s internationalmarketplace programme.

Vietrade General Director Vu Ba Phu saidafter 30 years, foreign direct investment (FDI) sector has become an importantpart in Vietnam’s economy, with remarkable contributions to the country’ssocio-economic development. -VNA
