Vietnam welcomes the second US-Democratic People’s Republic of Korea summit and strongly supports dialogues to maintain peace, security and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam welcomes the second US-DemocraticPeople’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) summit and strongly supports dialogues to maintainpeace, security and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

So said Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hangon the summit planned for February 27 and 28 in Vietnam. She was replying to aquestion for Vietnam’s comment on US President Donald Trump’s remark in hislatest State of the Union address on the upcoming summit.

Vietnam stands ready to actively contribute to and cooperatewith relevant sides to ensure the success for the second US-DPRK summit, thushelping achieve the above-mentioned goal, the official concluded.-VNA
