Vietnam War through Japanese eye

A photography exhibition titled “The Vietnam War and Okinawa Bases” of Japanese war photographer Ishikawa Bunyo will open at the Japan Newspaper Museum in the Japanese city of Yokohama on October 25.

IshikawaBunyo, 76, organised the exhibition of 150 photographs featuring thewar in Vietnam and US military bases in Okinawa, his native land.

As part of the exhibition, talks and discussion will be held to convey the fierceness of war and the value of peace.

The event lasts until December 21.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
