28 years since the official establishment of diplomatic relations and 10 years since the establishment of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership, Vietnam-US relations have seen comprehensive, substantive, and in-depth progress, making positive contributions to security, peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Vietnam and the US officially established a comprehensive partnership on July 25, 2013. This is an important step in the relations between the two countries. Since then, the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership has been developing extensively, effectively, and substantively in the bilateral, regional, and international aspects.
The US has concluded its investigation into Vietnam’s alleged import and use of timber illegally harvested or traded, and removed Vietnam from its currency manipulation list. After the move, the trade relations between the two countries are enjoying stronger growth.
2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the United States. Over the course of the decade, the economic, trade, and investment relationship has become increasingly developed, effective, and substantive.
