Vietnam’s Government and people are consistently working to strengthenthe traditional friendship and cooperation with the Democratic People’sRepublic of Korea (DPRK), Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai said.
During his reception for visiting DPRK Deputy Foreign MinisterRi Kil Song in Hanoi on January 30, Deputy PM Hai suggested the twosides promote mutually-beneficial economic cooperation based on themarket economy principle and each side’s capacity.
He said theVietnamese Government is pleased by the significant achievements madeby its DPRK counterpart in its national construction and developmentcause, expressing his belief that the DPRK will successfullyimplement its national goals under the leadership of the DPRK’s LabourParty led by the First Secretary Kim Jong-un.
Deputy PM Haialso proposed the two sides increase exchange of visits in the future tofurther promote friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between thetwo nations.
For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister Ri Kil Songexpressed his belief that with increasing links between the two nationsin politics, economics, culture and people-to-people exchange, thebilateral friendship and cooperation will grow.
