Vietnam to further measures against COVID-19 in new context

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recently issued Directive 19 on the continuation of the implementation of measures against the COVID-19 pandemic in the new context.

The directive said that although a number of initial achievements have been recorded, the pandemic is continuing to develop in a complicated way, and the risk is still high.

The PM asked ministries, ministry-level offices, People’s Committees of the provinces and central-level cities to maintain the viewpoint of “fighting the pandemic as if fighting the enemy”. They must mobilise the engagement of the whole political system and the people but, at the same time, continue to develop production and businesses.

On April 25, five more COVID-19 patients were declared to have fully recovered from the disease, bringing the number in this group to 225 out of the total of 270 in Vietnam.

Vietnam also had no new COVID-19 cases to declare on April 25./.
