– The Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) andthe Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group need to promote experiencesharing in holding elections, NA organisation and training for parliamentarians.

Deputy head of the NA’s Board for NA deputies affairs Nguyen Tuan Anh, who led aVietnamese NA delegation to visit Argentina from September 16-20, made thestatement at a working session with members of the Argentina-Vietnam FriendshipParliamentarians’ Group.

Anh expressed his hope that through parliamentary cooperation, the two law-makingbodies will promote economic and trade relations, education collaboration andcultural exchange between the two countries.

He took the occasion to invite Argentinian parliamentarians to visit Vietnam.

Chairwoman of the friendship parliamentarians’ group Elva Susana Balbo detailedthe organisation and operation of Argentina’s legislative body, the activitiesof local elected bodies and policies for parliamentarians.

She lauded Vietnam’s achievements in recent years and expressed her wish totighten cooperation with the Southeast Asian country.

The Vietnamese delegation also had a working session with Vice President of theJustice Commission of Buenos Aires City Legislature Daniel Presti.

On September 20, the delegation visited Paraguay to exchange experience with itslegislative bodies.-VNA
