The conference jointlyorganised by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and theTaiwan-based Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association(VIECA).
Speaking at the event, CIECA Chairman Chung-yu Wangsaid the meeting helps realise reached agreements and also increaseTaiwanese investment waves to Vietnam and flows of Vietnamese workersto Taiwan .
Presently, Taiwanese enterprises, consisting ofsmall, medium and large companies, wish to invest in Vietnam ,therefore Vietnam needs to increase trust and guarantee a favourablebusiness environment for foreign businesses by improving the legalframework and infrastructure.
VCCI Permanent Deputy ChairmanHoang Van Dung said Taiwan ranks third among countries and territoriesinvesting in Vietnam with nearly 2,260 projects worth nearly 30 billionUSD, whilst Vietnam has around 100,000 Vietnamese workers in Taiwan,accounting for 22 percent of Vietnam’s labour force abroad.
Aspart of the conference, Vietnamese and Taiwanese businesses operating inbanking, construction, property, chemicals and food will meet to seekpartnerships.-VNA
