Vietnam supports the target of strong, sustainable and balanced growthof APEC as well as its regional and international cooperation plans,Finance Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has said.
Minister Hue made the affirmation while meeting with the media after heattended the 18 th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) FinanceMinisters’ Meeting, which was held within the framework of the 19 thAPEC Leaders’ Meeting in Hawaii , the US .
The ministersaid that under an initiative put forward by Vietnam in 2006, theAPEC financial cooperation channel has seen another cooperation level offinancial senior officials since 2007.
Since the APECFinance Ministers Meeting in 2006, Vietnam has actively contributedto common initiatives of APEC Finance Ministers as well as cooperationand training technical staff to prepare for APEC Finance Ministers’Meetings.
At this year’s event, Vietnam mentionedissues regarding growth and comprehensive access to credits and financefor poor countries and under-developed nations, he said./.
