Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam strongly condemned the terror attacks in Antara, Turkey and Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, on March 13-14, which took the lives of many people and injured many others.
Deputy Spokesperson of the Vietnam Foreign Ministry Pham Thu Hang made the statement on March 15 in reply to a reporters’ query on Vietnam’s reactions to these attacks.
“We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Governments and people of Turkey and Ivory Coast as well as the victims’ families,” Hang said.
A suicide car bombing at a bus stop in central Ankara on March 13 killed at least 36 people and wounded more than 120 others.
Meanwhile, gunmen, armed with grenades and assault rifles, stormed three hotels and sprayed the beach with bullets in the resort of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, leaving 18 dead and injuring 33 others.-VNA
