Many young entrepreneurs’ organisations have been set up in Singaporewith members aging from 15-35 who are leaders of businesses and membersof the country’s youth network, Singapore ’s Minister of Youth andSports Teo Ser Luck said at a working session with the Ho Chi Minh Cityyoung businesspersons’ association on May 20 in HCM City.
The organisations run smoothly and make contributions to Singapore’s, economic development achievements, added the Minister.
Pham My Le, President of the HCM City young businesspersons’association highlighted the role of the city’s young businesspersons andexpressed wish to learn and exchange experience in business withSingapore ’s young partners, particularly in technology.
At the meeting, Vietnamese and Singaporean young entrepreneurs sharedexperience in support for the youth and youth-related issues, anddiscussed investment climate and potential of bilateral cooperation,particularly in information technology, beverage, retailing,construction, transport, maritime and education.
Minister Teo Ser Luck, who is also Chairman of the Singapore NationalYouth Council and Senior Secretary of the Parliament on communitydevelopment, is leading a National Youth Council delegation including 13officials and young businessmen, to visit Vietnam as part of aVietnam-Singapore youth exchange programme from May 18-21.
During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to make a tour ofoutstanding enterprises managed by young businessmen in Ho Chi MinhCity and pay a courtesy visit to the city’s leaders./.
