Vietnam shares finance-related experience with Cuba

TheVietnamese officials paid a courtesy visit to Minister of Finance andPrices Lina Pedraza Rodriguez and had a working session with DeputyMinister Felix Martinez.

They shared experience instate budget and public debt management, government bond issuance,inflation control and market development, which could serve as areference for Cuba in implementing the updating of its economic model.

Minister Pedraza said the delegation’s visit willgreatly contribute to the development of traditional ties between thetwo nations.

During the visit, the Vietnameseofficials handed over 5,000 tonnes of rice as gifts from the VietnameseParty, State and people to the Cuban government and people.

Cuban Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade Odalis Victoria Escandelldescribed “the gift” as a gesture of solidarity between the twocountries and thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people fortheir unswerving support for Cuba’s revolutionary cause.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
