Vietnam sees fruit, vegetable exports surge

Vietnam earned 213 million USD from exports of fruit and vegetables in the first four months of this year, a year-on-year rise of 44.1 percent, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

Exports of fruits and vegetables to the US , Japan , the Republicof Korea (RoK) and New Zealand have seen many favourableconditions.

The US has allowed importing fresh rambutan fromVietnam , while Japan and the RoK have given authorisation to importsof fresh blue dragon fruit and New Zealand allowed importing of freshmango from Vietnam .

With those good signs, the country isexpected to earn over 500 million USD in exports of fruits andvegetables for the whole year./.
