Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam hopes to make economic cooperation truly animportant driver for its relations with Japan, the US, and Australia, Head ofthe Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh said onOctober 30.
He made the statement while holding online talkswith leaders from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), the USInternational Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and Export FinanceAustralia (EFA).
The official affirmed that Vietnam’s relationswith the three countries are flourishing, bringing about substantial benefitsand contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the regionand the world.
Highlighting Vietnam’s consistent policy of attractingforeign investment to infrastructure development, Binh said the country is makingevery effort to complete its institutions and policies as well as its businessand investment environment.
Vietnam is willing to create favourableconditions for competent enterprises from Japan, the US, and Australia toinvest in high-quality and environmentally-friendly infrastructure projects.
He also proposed the three organisationsmaintain financial support for infrastructure and supply chain developmentprojects in Vietnam, and help connect businesses in Vietnam and those in theirrespective countries.
Leading officials from JBIC, DFC and EFA spokehighly of the Vietnamese Party and State’s policies on infrastructure development,affirming their strong commitment to intensifying cooperation with the country ininfrastructure and energy.
They pledged to continue providing financialsupport for high-quality and sustainable projects in these fields, expressingtheir hope that the Vietnamese Government will continue improving theinvestment climate and complete policies and laws on investment in thepublic-private partnership (PPP) form, so as to better facilitate the operationof Japanese, US, and Australian enterprises in the country./.
