Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Agricultureand Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong held a working session with visiting DeputyMinister of Agriculture of the Netherlands Marjolijn Sonnema on March 22 todiscuss agriculture cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

The minister noted that it was a good decisionof Vietnam when the two countries became strategic economic development partnersin 2014. He said the selection of food and nutrition security as the focus ofbilateral cooperation is in line with the aspiration and suits the potentialsand strength of both countries. 

He hailed the development of agriculture in theNetherlands, which is only as big as the Mekong Delta with a total area of 4million sq.km but has become a major agriculture products exporter.

At the event, Chairwoman of TH Milk Food JointStock Company Thai Huong expressed her hope that Deputy Minister MarjolijnSonnema will introduce potential partners to the TH group.

For her part, Marjolijn Sonnema pledged to helpfirms of the two countries meet to boost cooperation ties. -VNA
