Hanoi (VNA) –
Vietnam was the second biggest supplier of coffeefor Belgium after Brazil in 2018.

TheSoutheast Asian country exported 18,500 tonnes of coffee worth 36.07 millionUSD to Belgium in the year, year-on-year rises of 45 percent and 20.7 percent respectively,the highest growth level among the top 10 coffee supplier for the Europeancountry.

According to Vietnam Customs, Vietnam grossed 324.24 million USD from shipping 183,700tonnes of coffee abroad in January 2019, up 19.4 percent in volume and 17.6percent in value compared to December 2018.

In 2019, if the coffee sector maintains two-digit growth, Vietnam is likely tosurpass Brazil to become the largest supplier of coffee for Belgium.
