The delegation was welcomed by Deputy Prime MinisterTrinh Dinh Dung who welcomed appreciated results of the delegation’s workingsessions with Vietnamese ministries, especially a meeting with big enterprisesto introduce potential, advantages investment attraction incentives in Russia’sFar East region on March 14.
Deputy PM Dung highlighted the development of Vietnam-Russiatraditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership as well as politicalties with frequent exchanges of high-level delegations.
He affirmed Vietnam always treasures and givespriority to multifaceted cooperation with Russia and the Vietnamese Governmentalways supports and assists the two countries’ localities to set up ties andboost cooperation in the fields the two sides need and have advantages.
However, he said, Vietnam-Russia cooperation in the economy,trade and investment is still moderate and does not match each side’s potentialand advantages.
He suggested taking appropriate measures to boost bilateral cooperation in thepromising areas.
According to the Deputy PM, the two sides need to increase information oncooperation potential and preferential policies for enterprises, as well asfacilitate businesses to visit each other to have direct surveys on markets.
Deputy PM Yuri Petrovich Trutnev agreed that economiccooperation has been below expectation as two-way trade only stands at 3.8billion USD, requiring greater efforts to achieve the goal of 20 billion USD by2020.
He said Russia is giving priority to the developmentof the Far East region and has issued numerous incentive policies.
The Deputy PM called on Vietnamese companies to investin the Far East region, adding many enterprises from Japan, the Republic ofKorea and China are operating efficiently there.-VNA
