Vietnam, RoK hold third defence policy dialogue

Minister of National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh has highlighted the third ministerial-level defence policy dialogue between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea as a boost to the bilateral friendship and mutual understanding.

The remarks came out at the Minister’s Hanoireception on July 21 for RoK Deputy Minister of National Defence BaekSeung Joo who attended the dialogue.

The Korean officialinformed the host of the outcomes of the dialogue with his Vietnamesecounterpart Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.

Hesaid he hopes the two armies will deploy their cooperation in a morepractical and effective manner for their mutual benefits and that of thetwo people in the time to come.

During his stay in Vietnamfrom July 19-21, Baek Seung Joo paid a floral tribute to late PresidentHo Chi Minh at his Mausoleum and visited several units of the VietnamesePeople’s Army.-VNA
