Hanoi (VNA) - No new COVID-19 case was confirmed in Vietnam onMay 14, marking 28 straight days without community transmission as of 6pmon May 14, according to the Ministry of Health.
The country’s tally remains at 288, including 148 imported cases who had beenquarantined upon arrival, and 140 infected within the community.
As many as 260 patients have so far recovered from the disease, accounting for90 percent of the total. The remainders are being treated or under healthmonitoring at medical facilities.
The British pilot, known as Patient No. 91 who is being treated at the Hospitalfor Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City, is still in critical condition.
Doctors from top hospitals in Vietnam, in a telemedicine conference on May12, decided on a lung transplant for the patient.
Now13,719 people are under health monitoring or quarantine in the country, of whom334 stay at hospitals, 7,254 at other quarantine establishments and 6,141 athome and accommodations./.
