Vietnam reports 4,363 new COVID-19 cases on October 6

Vietnam recorded 4,363 new COVID-19 cases, including seven imported ones, in the past 24 hours till 5pm on October 6, reported the Health Ministry.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam recorded 4,363 new COVID-19cases, including seven imported ones, in the past 24 hours till 5pm onOctober 6, reported the Health Ministry.

Ho Chi Minh City, which is the country’s largest pandemichotspot, continued to record the highest number of cases, with 1,960new infections. It is followed by Binh Duong province with 852 cases, DongNai 534 and An Giang 180. The capital city of Hanoi logged nine cases.

The country’s total number of infections has to date reached 822,687.

As many as 10,033 patients were given theall-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on October 6, bringing the country'stotal recoveries to 757,086.  

Also on the day, the country logged 119 deaths, taking thenational tally to 20,098.

As many as 1,148,557 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered onOctober 5, putting the total administered shots in Vietnam to more than 48 million.More than 12.2 million people have received two doses of vaccine./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
