Vietnam records 80 new domestic COVID-19 cases on June 23 morning

Vietnam reported 80 new COVID-19 domestic cases in the six hours from 6am to 12pm on June 23, of them 70 were detected in quarantine sites and sealed off areas, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam reported 80 new COVID-19 domestic cases in the six hours from 6am to12pm on June 23, of them 70 were detected in quarantine sites and sealed offareas, according to the Ministry of Health.

Half of the new caseswere detected in Ho Chi Minh City, 23 in Binh Duong, eight in Bac Giang, fourin Hung Yen, two each in Lao Cai and Long An and one in Bac Kan.

As of June 23 noon,Vietnam had 1,717 imported and 12,145 domestic infections. As many as 10,575 local infections had beenconfirmed since the fourth wave of outbreaks hit the country on April 27,including 2,772 recoveries.

Of those who are stillunder treatment at medical facilities, 377 have tested negative for thecoronavirus once, 132 twice and 141 thrice.

Eighteen localitieshave not seen new infections in the community for two weeks.

In the context ofcomplicated developments, the MoH called on citizens to follow the 5K message,including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach(distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (healthdeclaration), to help contain the outbreaks./.
