Vietnam promotes tourism at world’s largest travel fair in Germany

As many as 32 Vietnamese tourism businesses are participating in the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB) 2017 in Germany, which runs from March 8 – 12.

Berlin (VNA) – As many as 32Vietnamese tourism businesses are participating in the International TourismExchange Berlin (ITB) 2017 in Germany, which runs from March 8 – 12.

The Vietnamese delegation is led by Ha Van Sieu,Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. 

Covering an area of 200 sq.m, Vietnamese boothfeatures the beauty of Vietnamese nature, culture and people.

Vietnam’s tourism sector will organise pressconferences and art performances at the Vietnam House to introducedestinations, unique tourism products and policies for tourism development. 

Meetings between Vietnamese and internationaltourism companies will also take place during the event.

As the most important event of the world’stourism industry, ITB Berlin 2017 attracts 10,000 tourism management agencies,businesses, hotels and resorts from 180 countries and territories. 

It serves as a venue for international enterprisesto share experience and look for partners as well as provides visitors withvaried tourism information. 

In 2016, the event drew 180,000 visitors, withcontracts valued at more than 7 billion EUR (7.4 billion USD)-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
