Vietnam, Pakistan to strengthen defence cooperation

Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army has asked Pakistan’s new military attaché to work to enhance the effectiveness of bilateral defence cooperation.

Hanoi (VNA) – Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the GeneralStaff of the Vietnam People’s Army has asked Pakistan’s new military attaché towork to enhance the effectiveness of bilateral defence cooperation.

Receiving Colonel Syed Muhammad Hasnain in Hanoi on July 11, MajorGeneral Tien took note of encouraging development of the bilateral defence tiesover the past time.

He expressed his hope that, in his new position, the Pakistani military attachéin Vietnam will do his utmost to elevate the relations into a more effectiveand practical manner.

For his part, the Pakistani military attaché wished that both sides will soonink a Memorandum of Understanding to serve as the foundation to further thedefence relations.-VNA
