Themed ‘Media Cooperation and Regional Development’, the forum aimed atboosting solidarity and collaboration between the CMG and its ASEAN partners inthe post-COVID-19 era and spotlighting the importance of the mainstreamcommunications in cultural exchange development and for a more suitableinternational order.
Participants discussed the role of communications and mediapartnerships between China and ASEAN in regional development in the context of seriousimpacts of the pandemic taking place globally.
In his recorded speech sent to the forum, Vietnamese Ambassadorto China Pham Sao Mai congratulated achievements obtained from the cooperationbetween ASEAN and China, and expressed his wish to see further contributionsfrom the press to such ties in the future.
The forum issued a joint statement proposing theestablishment of an ASEAN media partnership mechanism./.
