Vietnam, New Zealand sign action programme

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and his New Zealand counterpart Nanaia Mahuta signed the Vietnam – New Zealand Action Programme for the 2021-2024 period at a virtual ceremony on December 8.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his belief that with rich and extensive content, the freshly-inked Action Program will further promote the Strategic Partnership between the two countries in all fields in the coming time.


Son expressed his delight that the two sides have maintained flexible and regularly cooperation mechanisms in all fields despite complicated developments of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

For her part, Minister Nanaia emphasized that New Zealand attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with Vietnam.

The Minister said her country wished to further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in trade, investment, education, digital economy and climate change, accordingly the two sides will strive to reach a trade turnover of 2 billion by 2024./.
