Meque,for her part, spoke highly of joint projects on growing agricultural plants inMozambique, saying that Vietnamese rice varieties grown in the African countrygenerate yields beyond expectations.
Mozambiquewants to work with scientists to study short-season varieties that areresistant to drought, pests and salinity, and partner with Vietnam to build acashew nut processing plant using Vietnamese technology in the African country,she said.
Sheadded that Mozambique is strong in cotton cultivation with a total capacity of80,000 tonnes per year and invited Vietnamese fiber plants to get involved.
Theguest said Mozambique will also cooperate with Vietnam in fisheries in the nearfuture.
Accordingto her, agriculture is one of the four important areas set by the Mozambicangovernment. She expressed her wish that more Vietnamese firms will invest inagriculture in the country.-VNA
